Greene, Tweed’s RSA Seal (Rubber-Spring Actuated) is a high-performance sealing solution designed for rugged operating conditions. It features low compression set and high tear resistance, ensuring long life and durability. Made from a proprietary high-molecular weight elastomer, this U-type seal offers excellent abrasion resistance and performs well in low-temperature environments. The RSA seal incorporates an O-ring energizer for uniform radial loading and includes the Avalon® heel bearing for low friction and high-shear strength stabilization. This design maintains precise lip-point interference, preventing leakage during ovalization and breathing during strut deflection.
